Physician, Hospitalist Medicine

About the role

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital is adding a part-time hospitalist to our team.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care for patients in a hospital setting
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
• Document patient care in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Cerner
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitalist care preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Proficiency in using Cerner EHR system
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
