Responsibilities
- Provide direct inpatient medical care, including admissions, daily rounding, and discharge planning
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions for hospitalized patients
- Collaborate with consulting specialists and multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to optimize patient outcomes
- Respond to rapid responses or codes as assigned
- Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Participate in teaching and mentoring of residents or medical students
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Eligibility for state medical licensure DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
