About the role

Mercy Clinic Pittsburg is seeking a full-time BE/BC Hematology Oncologist to join their well-established cancer center in Pittsburg, KS. The position is available due to growth in the practice and quick ramp-up call coverage. The clinic is affiliated with Kansas City University and has a teaching program.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hematology/oncology care to patients in a multidisciplinary setting
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards
• Contribute to the research and development of new treatments and therapies
• Lead and mentor medical students and residents
• Engage in professional development through continuing medical education (CME)

Requirements

• Board Certification in Hematology and/or Oncology
• Current Medical License in the state of Kansas
• Experience in treating hematologic and oncologic conditions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Hematology/Oncology residency program
• Passing scores on the ABIM certification exams

Skills

• Excellent clinical skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Knowledge of current hematology and oncology practices

Pay

The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $350,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with call coverage of only one hospital attached to the clinic.
