About the Role
AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY) is a primary and specialty care practice serving half a million patients across the New York metropolitan area. With more than 30 medical offices across New York City's five boroughs and Long Island, ACPNY is continually expanding our practice and enhancing our services for communities throughout New York. We are seeking a Gynecologic surgeon to perform Gynecologic surgeries with no Obstetrical responsibilities, focusing on high-quality outpatient care utilizing the latest developments and advanced surgical techniques.
Responsibilities
- Collect and record patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
- Review patient’s history and perform physical examinations.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of gynecologic conditions, including but not limited to endometriosis, leiomyomas, and adnexal masses.
- Provide preventive care and relationship-centered care, considering the patient’s psychosocial and physical needs.
- Perform surgeries, including:
- Hysterectomies and myomectomies for benign conditions (open and minimally invasive).
- Diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy.
- Diagnostic and operative laparoscopy.
- Diagnostic cystoscopy.
- Endometrial ablation.
- Perform in-office procedures, including but not limited to LEEP, colposcopy, hysteroscopy/endometrial biopsy, vulvar biopsy, and pessary care.
- Communicate effectively and cordially with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care.
- Prevent, recognize, and manage potential surgical complications derived from gynecologic surgeries.
- Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or foreign equivalent.
- Completion of four-year postgraduate medical training from an accredited residency program in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).
- Robotic certification strongly preferred.
- Current, unrestricted New York State medical license.
- Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility for registration.
- Active Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or eligibility to enroll.
- BLS or ACLS certification required (both strongly preferred).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (EPIC preferred) and Microsoft Office.
Ideal Candidate
- A minimum of two to four years of gynecologic surgery experience.
- Demonstrated competency in diagnosis and treatment to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
- Patient-centered approach toward a positive patient experience.
- Interest in Population Health Management.
