About the role
Senior & Residential Care; a service of Community Health of Central Washington is searching for a Geriatric Physician and Nursing facility medical director.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care medical services to include; routine care for chronic, acute and preventive health needs of patients of the SRCare program.
- Visit types will include admission to participating facilities, routine periodic visits, and interim visits as needed according to patient status.
- Medical director responsibilities in nursing facilities contracted with SRCare.
- Provide services to 10 facilities in Yakima County.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree required with particular interest and demonstrated competency in the care of geriatric and disabled patients.
- Graduate medical education and certification in geriatric medicine or in family medicine or internal medicine.
- Certificate of added qualification in geriatrics and/or AMDA certification or training preferred.
- If above education qualifications are successfully met, additional experience is not required.
- In lieu of above education, physician must demonstrate appropriate experience, leading to competencies in the care of geriatric and other high needs/chronically ill patients.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain licensure to practice medicine in the state of Washington and DEA license with no restriction from participation with the Medicaid or Medicare programs.
- Able to obtain credentials from appropriate health plans and to be covered by CHCW malpractice liability carrier.
