About the role
Seeking a skilled Clinical Faculty member to provide inpatient geriatric consultation services in an academic hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Offering expert geriatric assessment and management for patients across various specialties such as medicine, trauma & orthopedics, ICU, and subspecialty services.
- Managing complex cases involving multi-morbidity, polypharmacy, fragility fractures, delirium, and end-of-life care.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure age-sensitive, evidence-based interventions.
- Engaging in academic activities including mentoring residents, fellows, and students in geriatric principles.
- Participating in scholarly research and quality improvement projects aimed at reducing hospital-acquired complications.
- Potential leadership role as Associate Program Director for Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, and Scholarly Activity within the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Qualifications
- Board certification in Geriatric Medicine or Palliative Medicine.
- At least five years of post-fellowship experience in an academic medical environment.
- Proven scholarly output, including publications or significant educational contributions.
- Exceptional communication and interdisciplinary leadership skills.
