Physician - General Neurologist - Outpatient - Grand Rapids, Michigan

About the role

The department of Neurological Health at Corewell Health has a unique practice opportunity for a BC/BE general neurologist with a strong interest in teaching. This position includes a significant amount of time supervising Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants (APPs) who are seeing new patients or complex established patients in Grand Rapids or remotely in our regional neurology clinics.

Responsibilities

• Teaching/supervising position with APPs dedicated to general neurology
• 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits
• Opportunity for 1-2 remote days per week
• Strong operational support
• Epic electronic medical record

Requirements

• MD/DO with ability to obtain a full Medical License in the state of Michigan
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan upon hire
• LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan upon hire
• CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan upon hire
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
• CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association if required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required

Qualifications

• Doctorate
• Required upon hire: LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan or LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan
• Required upon hire: CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan
• Required upon hire: CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross
• Required upon hire: CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association if required by specialty or stress test performed
