Physician - Gastroenterology Inpatient Hospitalist - minimal afterhours, ERCP required

Position Information

• Average of 6 cases per day (range of about 2-9)
• Average of 6-7 ERCP cases per stretch
• Experienced PA-C to help with consults and rounding
• Dedicated M-F block to complete urgent/emergent procedures with assigned anesthesia and dedicated Sunday block from 7:00 am – 12:00 pm, working with endoscopy staff to complete weekend cases
• Hospital employed, full time = 146 shifts annually or part time = 73 shifts annually (7-14 shifts each stretch based on preference)
• Flexible scheduling to accommodate lifestyle desire
• Gastroenterology call is covered by GI Hospitalists, allowing our traditional practicing physicians the ability to have high volume general practices

Qualifications

Board eligible/certified. ERCP is required. Endoscopy: Brand new beautiful 22,000 SF Endoscopy space in the hospital with Olympus equipment. 8 huge endoscopy suites and 24 pre op/post op bays designed as an ambulatory surgical center. All patients are managed within the unit with occasional procedures in the OR (based on BMI).
