MaineHealth, the largest health care system in Maine, is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a team of 6 gastroenterologists and 3 advanced care providers in its Southern Region, in Biddeford, ME.
About the Role
In addition to providing inpatient and outpatient consultation at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Biddeford, a non-profit, full-service community hospital with 160 acute care beds, there are opportunities to provide clinical instruction to students from the University of New England and Tufts University medical schools, internal medicine residents and advanced practice providers.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Biddeford
- Teach medical students from the University of New England and Tufts University
- Teach internal medicine residents
- Teach advanced practice providers
- Join the core faculty for a GI fellowship beginning in July 2025
- Participate in clinical research activities through the MaineHealth Institute for Research
Qualifications
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Gastroenterology
- Experience in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents, and advanced practice providers
- Experience in clinical research activities
