Physician-Gastroenterologist

About the role

The Bronx VA is seeking a Gastroenterologist who is certified in general GI endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy) and GI consultations (in-patients and out-patients).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor GI fellows.
• Teach medical residents.
• Share evening/weekend call for GI emergencies with other attendings.
• Participate in research opportunities.

Requirements

• Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States.
• Completed residency training in a relevant field.
• Fellowship training in Gastroenterology preferred.
• Board eligibility or certification in Gastroenterology.
• Hepatology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Doctor of Medicine degree from an LCME or COCA accredited institution.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license.
• Completed residency training in a relevant field.
• Fellowship training in Gastroenterology preferred.
• Board eligibility or certification in Gastroenterology.
• Hepatology experience is a plus.

Pay

Schedule

50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year, and possible 5 day paid absence for CME).
