About the role
The Bronx VA is seeking a Gastroenterologist who is certified in general GI endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy) and GI consultations (in-patients and out-patients).
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor GI fellows.
- Teach medical residents.
- Share evening/weekend call for GI emergencies with other attendings.
- Participate in research opportunities.
Requirements
- Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States.
- Completed residency training in a relevant field.
- Fellowship training in Gastroenterology preferred.
- Board eligibility or certification in Gastroenterology.
- Hepatology experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Doctor of Medicine degree from an LCME or COCA accredited institution.
- Current, full and unrestricted medical license.
- Completed residency training in a relevant field.
- Fellowship training in Gastroenterology preferred.
- Board eligibility or certification in Gastroenterology.
- Hepatology experience is a plus.

Pay

Schedule
50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year, and possible 5 day paid absence for CME).
