Physician Extender/Athletic Trainer | Orthopedics | Memorial Medical Group, Full-Time

Clinical Responsibilities

• Accompanying patients to exam/procedure room
• Assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam.

Career Responsibilities

• Effectively utilizes the electronic medical records system to check scheduled, complete prior authorizations and organize patient flow
• Demonstrates acceptable time management techniques
• Accurate charting
• Accurately relays instructions to patients/families
• Answers calls and provides pertinent information

Clerical Responsibilities

• Sending/receiving patient medical records
• Obtaining lab/radiology reports, hospital notes referral information
• Setting up instruments and equipment according to protocols
• Cleaning exam/procedures rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control
• Cleaning sanitizer according to scheduled maintenance program and keeping appropriate records
• Maintains office supplies by notifying Practice Manager when items are needed, sorting, storing supplies; and restocking exam/procedure rooms
