Physician - Endocrinology - Full Time Academic
About the role
Ochsner LSU Health System and Louisiana State University Health Science Center-Shreveport seek a BE/BC Endocrinologist for a full-time faculty position.
Responsibilities
- See patients with common and rare endocrine conditions
- Participate in all faculty activities, including medical student, house staff, and fellowship teaching responsibilities
- Provide patient care in outpatient clinics
- Offer inpatient consultations to hospital services including surgical services, ob-gyn, labor and delivery, and psychiatry
- Engage in clinical or laboratory research
- Contribute to community service
Requirements
- MD or equivalent terminal degree
- Qualify for a Louisiana medical license
- BE/BC in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in endocrinology and a commitment to academic medicine.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for teaching and research are essential.
