Physician- Endocrinologist- Mason City, Iowa- $100,000 bonus!

About the role

MercyOne North Iowa Endocrinology, Weight Loss, & Diabetes offers an outpatient-only opportunity with minimal call and minimal phone involvement. The position is part of a busy, immediate practice focusing on diabetes management, Type I & II diabetes, pump and sensor therapy, diabetes education, medical nutrition therapy, pump starts, full-spectrum endocrinology, and weight loss.

Responsibilities

• Manage diabetes cases, including Type I & II diabetes, pump and sensor therapy, and medical nutrition therapy.
• Provide diabetes education and medical nutrition therapy.
• Start pumps and manage sensor therapy.
• Offer full-spectrum endocrinology services.
• Conduct weight loss consultations.
• Teach Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residents, ARNP/PA students, and medical students.

Requirements

• Board certification within 3 years of eligibility.
• Completion of an appropriate residency program.
• Medical/osteopathic medical school graduate.
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license.
• Above-average communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
• Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school.
• Completed an appropriate residency program and is board certified or board eligible.
• Successfully obtained Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong teamwork abilities.
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license.
• Able to obtain controlled substance certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
