Physician - Emergency Medicine - Resident

About the role

Provide emergency care at a community hospital, managing moderate to high-acuity cases in a Level II Trauma, STEMI, and Stroke Center setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring quality patient outcomes, and utilize resources like neonatology, hospice, and life flight. Offer autonomy in practice within a supportive, physician-owned partnership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver urgent and emergent patient care in a busy emergency department
• Work within a collaborative team to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital and state regulations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Must be a third-year resident of a 3-year program or a fourth-year resident of a 4-year program
• Current Illinois state license and DEA are required
• Strong clinical skills in emergency medicine, teamwork, and communication are essential
