What You Will Do

  • Direct Clinical Activities:
    • Provide direct patient care to a panel of patients in the practice.
    • Supervise clinical providers including trainees and advanced practice providers and provide performance feedback in all aspects of clinical functions.
    • Serve as an educational resource to the patient/family and other clinical staff and providers.
    • Facilitate the patient’s transitions between and within health care settings.
    • Act as a consultant to multidisciplinary health care team members.
  • Specific Interventions:
    • Manage the plan of care through evaluation, modification, and documentation according to the patient’s response to therapy.
    • Incorporate health promotion, health protection and injury prevention measures into the plan of care within the context of complex acute, critical, and chronic illness.
  • Administrative Activities:
    • Evaluate and effectively manage patient access, patient flow, quality improvement, staff performance, effective work teams.
    • Develop and implement departmental standards, policies, guidelines, and protocols.

Education Qualifications

  • Doctorate Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Skills And Abilities

  • Working knowledge of applicable hospital policies, practices and protocols as well as applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
  • Skills in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving, decision-making.
  • Skills in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients and the public.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and electronic).

Licenses and Certifications

  • Medical License - in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and any states practicing in - upon hire - Required
  • Board Certification - Medical Sub/Specialty - - within 36 months - Required
  • DEA License - - upon hire - Required
  • Clinical Decision Support (CDS) - As Applicable based on site of practice - upon hire - Preferred

Benefits

Salary Range: $36,279.00 - $678,760.00 Annually
