Job Summary

The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery of Main Line Health is seeking a full-time Faculty Cardiac Surgeon for their established coronary revascularization program. The successful candidate will also play a leadership role in their VAD and MCS programs.

Program Overview

This recruitment is part of a key strategic growth initiative within the Division of Cardiac Surgery. Ideal candidates will join an established program with 6 well-recognized cardiac surgeons at the Lankenau Heart Institute to coordinate cardiac surgery and cardiovascular efforts.

About the Role

  • Primary responsibility for working with the cardiac surgical and cardiology teams to maintain and grow the cardiac surgical program with a focus on coronary revascularization and other cardiothoracic procedures.
  • Provide coverage of the cardiac surgery service and have experience in performing general cardiothoracic procedures and on-call duties.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates are required to have experience in performing general cardiothoracic procedures and on-call duties.
  • Experience in performing coronary revascularization and other cardiothoracic procedures.
  • Leadership role in VAD and MCS programs.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board certification in Cardiovascular Surgery.
  • Current Pennsylvania medical license.

About Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR)

LIMR is a non-profit biomedical research institute located on the campus of Lankenau Medical Center. It is dedicated to advancing understanding of the causes of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease to improve diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. The Director will have opportunities to collaborate with LIMR on clinical research and academic initiatives.
