This locum tenens Family Medicine Physician role provides comprehensive primary care for an adult patient population with both acute and chronic health needs. It is an excellent opportunity for a physician who values hands-on clinical care, sound medical judgment, and a well-organized weekday schedule.

Schedule

• Monday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Tuesday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift
• 40 weekly hours
• Start date: August 21, 2026
• Duration: 19 weeks with potential to extend

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive family medicine and primary care services for adult patients
• Assess, diagnose, treat, and monitor patients using sound clinical judgment
• Develop individualized care plans and provide patient education on prevention and disease management
• Order medications, refills, ancillary testing, and referrals as appropriate
• Lead and support advanced practice providers and clinical support personnel
• Perform routine procedures such as suturing, splinting, and incision & drainage
• Address acute patient issues efficiently
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Support quality, compliance, and care coordination efforts

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active Pennsylvania medical license required
• At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Strong skills in primary care, diagnosis, prevention, and chronic disease management
• Comfort managing routine and acute patient concerns
• Ability to work collaboratively with advanced practice providers and clinical support staff
• Basic procedural skills such as suturing, splinting, and incision & drainage
