Responsible for accurately coding medical records according to industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Accurately codes medical records using industry-standard coding systems.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and coding guidelines.
- Collaborates with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation and coding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Medical Coding, or related field.
- Current certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Associate (CCA).
- At least 2 years of experience in medical coding or related field.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding systems.
Skills
- Coding proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT codes.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
