About the role

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, and the Division of Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapeutics, is seeking a faculty candidate for the role of directing Cellular Therapeutic Laboratory. This faculty position offers involvement in a diverse and high-volume pathology practice, coupled with significant research and teaching prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Involvement in a diverse and high-volume pathology practice
  • Coupled with significant research and teaching prospects
  • Directing Cellular Therapeutic Laboratory
  • Involvement in a rapidly growing clinical trial protocol, tests, and procedures
  • Performing 300 hematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation annually
  • Performing over 100 CAR-T treatments annually
  • Offering 6 FDA approved CAR-T therapies
  • Engaging in clinical and translational research
  • Working within the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and the Division of Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapeutics

Requirements

  • MD or MD/PhD degree
  • Board certification in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine or other related subspecialties

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong interest or extensive training and publication records in the field of Cellular Therapies
  • An active research program with external funding
