About the Role

Mercy Northwest Arkansas is seeking a full-time, board certified/board eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery practice in Rogers, AR. This opportunity is part of a thriving health care system recognized locally and nationally for exceptional care and innovation in the rapidly changing medical field.

The Alice L Walton Foundation, Mercy, and Heartland Whole Health have announced a 30-year affiliation agreement to expand access to health care, reduce costs, and improve health outcomes in the Heartland. This includes planning and designing a 100-acre world-class health care campus in Bentonville, as well as a 10-year affiliation with Cleveland Clinic and Heartland Whole Health to collaborate on world-class cardiovascular expertise and create a Cardiovascular Center of Excellence. Mercy also serves as the primary clinical affiliate and teaching site for the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine.

Mercy Northwest Arkansas CV Surgery group consists of 2 full-time surgeons and dedicated hospital-based and clinic-based APPs. The practice features a dedicated CVOR team, 2 CVOR rooms, and 1 hybrid OR with robotics available. There is a strong partnership with high-quality cardiology and hospitalist services, and you will participate in teaching with the Alice Walton School of Medicine. The system uses EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality cardiothoracic surgical care within an integrated health system.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, hospitalists, and advanced practice providers.
  • Participate in teaching and training opportunities with the Alice Walton School of Medicine.
  • Utilize advanced surgical technologies, including robotics, in a state-of-the-art hybrid OR.
