About the role
The position involves a structured schedule of 32 clinical hours and 8 administrative hours per week, Monday through Friday. It is a hospital-employed, nonprofit critical access hospital with a new cardiology service line offering a blend of outpatient practice, inpatient consults, and diagnostic interpretation. The opportunity includes echocardiographic and nuclear stress test interpretation, and there are opportunities for committee involvement and organizational leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with patients and colleagues
- Interpret echocardiographic and nuclear stress tests
- Provide inpatient consults and diagnostic interpretation
- Participate in committee activities and organizational leadership
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiology
Qualifications
- Experience in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology
- Strong interpersonal skills
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
