Job Summary
The North Central Health District (NCHD) is seeking a skilled Physician to provide full-time clinical services at the HOPE Center in Macon, GA. The HOPE Center provides medical care, dental services, and case management to individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical services by examining patients, diagnosing conditions, and delivering treatment, with a focus on HIV/AIDS care and infectious disease management.
- Conduct physical examinations, review medical histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Preserve and monitor antiretroviral therapy (ART) and other medications in accordance with current HIV treatment guidelines and standards of care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation in the electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with nurses, case managers, pharmacists, behavioral health providers, and community partners to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives designed to improve clinical outcomes, patient retention, and program efficiency within the Ryan White Program.
- Support public health initiatives related to HIV prevention, linkage to care, retention in care, and health education within the community.
- May participate in clinical research activities, training programs, and continuing medical education to remain current with advances in HIV/AIDS treatment and infectious disease management.
Qualifications
- Medical degree recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB) and licensure or license-eligible to practice medicine at a state institution or in the state of Georgia as provided by state law.
- Two (2) years of experience at the lower level Physician 2 (HCP161) or position equivalent.
