Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests
- Assess and manage patients’ primary and acute care needs and make referrals to specialized care as needed
- Promote the utilization of all types of medication assisted treatment (MAT), Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MAOD)/Medications for Alcohol Use Disorders (MAUD)
- Work a minimum of 3 days a week; in-person availability required
- Participate in weekly treatment team meetings
- Order and monitor medication and medical care for clients as needed and provide written authorization
Requirements
- MD or DO required
- Board certification in Addiction Medicine preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records required
- Individual Professional Liability insurance required
- PT contract position - Up to 25 hours per week
- Valid, unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number
- Valid Pennsylvania PROMISE number
- Minimum of three to five years’ experience; Work experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting preferred
