About the role

Become a part of our caring community Conviva Primary Care, a subsidiary of Humana Inc., is looking for a primary care physician for our clinic in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Take a hands-on approach, addressing patient needs inside the exam room and look beyond to understand how social determinants of health are affecting health outcomes.
  • Work within a unique care model that sets us apart for both patients and providers.
  • Specialize in senior-focused primary care with a versatile approach.
  • Report to our Associate Medical Director.
  • Work onsite and in-person at the Deerfield Beach clinic.
  • Focus on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention.
  • Keep a medical history and medical records.
  • Refer the patient to specialists.
  • Influence department's strategy.
  • Perform work without direction on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components.
  • Exercise considerable latitude in determining goals and approaches to assignments.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Geriatric Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment (or willing to obtain).
  • Current, unrestricted DEA license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two+ years of experience.
  • One+ years of experience managing Medicare Advantage panel of patients.
  • Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.

Pay

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $255,000 - $298,500 per year.
