Physician Assistant Specialty Care – Hospital Medicine (Dual Posted with Job ID 59796)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent medical support services on inpatient floors, collaborating with physicians and hospital staff to promote team-based care.
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, demonstrating autonomy and expertise in diagnosing and treating health issues.
- Order and perform diagnostic procedures; monitor patient conditions, lab values, and diagnostic results to develop effective treatment goals.
- Collaborate with MDs on complex cases as outlined in the collaborative agreement.
- Serve as a resource for patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals in your area of expertise.
- Obtain and document thorough histories and physical exams, effectively communicating relevant medical information to surgeons and physicians.
- Identify trends in patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in developing and implementing standards for structure, process, and outcomes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Physician Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant degree from an accredited program.
- Active state licensure and DEA registration.
- National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).
- Experience in adult primary care, preventive medicine, or behavioral health.
- Experience in Hospitalist, Inpatient, Acute Care.
- Two years of APP experience or Hospital Medicine Fellowship preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $108,971 - $155,000 annually
