About the Role
A Physician Assistant (PA) in the Surgery Department working on a rotating shift schedule that includes weekends, nights, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily rounds and post-operative visits
- Assist in surgeries
- Manage patient admissions and discharges
- Perform assessments and develop treatment plans
- Coordinate care with other departments
- Order and interpret tests
- Perform procedures such as suturing and drain removal
- Provide education and discharge instructions to patients and families
- Ensure positive patient experiences and clinical excellence through service recovery
Requirements
- BS in Physician Assistant Studies
- NCCPA certification
- Maryland PA license
- CDS and DEA certifications
- BLS/ACLS certifications
- Meet credentialing requirements
- Surgical experience or residency preferred
