Physician Assistant Program - Director of Clinical Education

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, expansion and maintenance of clinical rotation sites nationwide
  • Develop and provide ongoing management of the clinical portion of the program
  • Act as a liaison between the preceptor, student, and program
  • Provide continuous self-assessment and evaluation of the clinical portion of the program in accordance with the ARC-PA standards.
  • Aid in the continuous review and compliance of federal, state, and accrediting activities
  • Maintain and review scheduling of patient tracking logs
  • Plan scholarship and service activities
  • Lead coordination of End of Rotation activities and testing
  • Provide instruction in all phases of the program
  • Participate in program self-assessment, outcomes analysis and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Participate in student advising, student admissions, and committees as assigned

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program with at least 3 years of clinical experience as a PA
  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or related field
  • Current NCCPA certification
  • Eligibility for licensure in Texas (must secure upon hire if not currently held)

Qualifications

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Prefereed for PAs with formal teaching and/or Clinical Director experience

Skills

Ability to lead and manage clinical education programs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
