Responsibilities
- Lead development, expansion and maintenance of clinical rotation sites nationwide
- Develop and provide ongoing management of the clinical portion of the program
- Act as a liaison between the preceptor, student, and program
- Provide continuous self-assessment and evaluation of the clinical portion of the program in accordance with the ARC-PA standards.
- Aid in the continuous review and compliance of federal, state, and accrediting activities
- Maintain and review scheduling of patient tracking logs
- Plan scholarship and service activities
- Lead coordination of End of Rotation activities and testing
- Provide instruction in all phases of the program
- Participate in program self-assessment, outcomes analysis and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Participate in student advising, student admissions, and committees as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program with at least 3 years of clinical experience as a PA
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or related field
- Current NCCPA certification
- Eligibility for licensure in Texas (must secure upon hire if not currently held)
Qualifications
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Prefereed for PAs with formal teaching and/or Clinical Director experience
Skills
Ability to lead and manage clinical education programs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
