Physician Assistant - PRN

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct patient care, including medical histories and paperwork completion.
• Evaluates and provides care according to standard operating procedures (SOP), sick call, or walk-ins.
• Provides emergency and first aid treatment within scope of practice, transferring care to local healthcare systems as needed.
• Performs limited, minor surgical procedures as outlined in SOP.
• Reviews and reevaluates patient cases as necessary, ensuring ongoing medical and pharmaceutical needs are met.
• Carries out physician supervisor's orders.

Requirements

• ANY STATE LICENSE ACCEPTED
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Primary Care, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine setting
• CURRENTLY LICENSED IN AND MEMBER OF ANY STATE MEDICAL BOARD PROVIDING LICENSURE FOR PAs
• MUST MEET CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE STATE(S) LICENSED IN
• MEETS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
• Bachelor's degree from a PA training program certified by the ARC-PA
• Graduation from a PA training program certified by the ARC-PA with a bachelor’s degree in a health care occupation or health-related science
• Graduation from a PA training program certified by the ARC-PA with a period of progressively responsible health care experience
• EDUCATION MUST BE ACCREDITED BY AN ACREDITING INSTITUTION RECOGNIZED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO BE CREDIBLE TOWARDS QUALIFICATIONS
• PAS MUST BE CERTIFIED BY THE NATIONAL COMMISSION ON CERTIFICATION OF PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS (NCCPA)
• COMFORTABLE WITH ALL AGE GROUPS 0-99
• MUST HAVE OR OBTAIN A BLS THROUGH AHA
• NOT CONVICTED OF, OR PLED GUILTY TO, OR PLED NOLO CONTENTERE TO, OR RECEIVED PROBATION BEFORE JUDGMENT FOR ANY CRIME OTHER THAN A MINOR TRAFFIC VIOLATION THE RECORD OF WHICH HAS NOT BEEN EXPUNGED
