About the role

The Onsite Physician Assistant works with the Onsite Leadership Team at the assigned onsite clinic, and under the direction of the Supervising physician to implement the location’s medical policies, procedures, and programs ensuring the delivery of efficient, responsible and accountable healthcare of the highest quality to patients, businesses, and industry in accordance with Concentra's Best in Class practice.

Responsibilities

  • Spending 100% of time in the onsite clinic providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
  • Ensuring day-to-day execution of Concentra's clinical model collaborating with members of the healthcare team to drive optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Maintaining timely, accurate and detailed patient records and paperwork.
  • Interpreting diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
  • Performing therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
  • Instructing and counseling patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
  • Assisting in the development, implementation and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of clinical care.
  • Assisting in the development and presentation of education and instructional programs.
  • Providing excellent and compassionate customer service to all patients, clients and peers while incorporating Orange Book values.

Requirements

  • Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree Major: Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
  • Education Details: Bachelors’ degree in related health field from an accredited college or university.
  • Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program).
  • Certifications and/or Licenses: Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) Current licensed physician assistant in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice Must maintain work state physician assistant licensure throughout the course of employment.

Qualifications

  • No Continuing education is required to maintain license and to perform job: Yes
  • Customarily has at least the following experience: 3 years Customarily has at least three years of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care or an emergency setting

  • Knowledge of laws and regulations that govern delivery of rehabilitation services
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated willingness to participate in Continuing Medical Education
