About the role
New graduates and experienced providers are encouraged to apply. Structured Mentorship – 12–18 month onboarding and transition support with an experienced supervising physician, including comprehensive APP training modules. Monday–Friday Schedule – Traditional 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with the potential to transition to a 4-day, 10-hour hybrid schedule. No Call or Weekends – Enjoy a predictable work-life balance. Manageable Patient Volume – Average 18 patients/day (8-hour schedule) or 24 patients/day (hybrid schedule). Comprehensive Primary Care – Care for new and established patients, follow-up visits, acute/same-day appointments, and chronic disease management. Procedure Opportunities – Perform joint injections, trigger point injections, shave and punch biopsies, cryotherapy, and other simple in-office procedures. Collaborative Enhanced Care Team (ECT) – Work alongside physicians, APPs, medical assistants, LVNs, front desk staff, and additional clinical support. Outpatient Practice Only – No hospital rounding or inpatient responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Assess the physical and mental condition of patients by performing comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and obtaining medical histories.
- Orders, collects, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs.
- Prescribes, recommends, or uses medical drug therapies or other treatments.
- Performs procedures following approved protocols, focusing on efficacy, safety, and cost.
- Recommends interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks.
- Creates and carries out detailed patient treatment plans based on assessments, evidence-based medicine, and care standards.
- Collaborates with physicians and team members when needed.
- Evaluates patient’s response to health care provided and the effectiveness of care.
- Counsels patients and families regarding medical processes, management of the health illness/condition, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
- Counsels patients about drug regimens and possible side effects. Discusses interactions with substances like food supplements, over-the-counter medications, and herbal remedies.
- Maintains appropriate records detailing the patient's treatment plans and outcomes.
- Initiates timely consultation and referral when the problem exceeds scope or expertise.
- Provide consultation level services for conditions /problems related to the Provider’s specialty and training.
- Perform invasive procedures specific to scope of practice as delegated by supervising Physician.
- May provide care to patients in a team-based model. Focus on acute and chronic illness management and population health.
Requirements
- Knowledge of information and techniques is needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
- Knowledge of practices, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions.

- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.

- Less than 1 Year of Experience
- Physician Assistants (PA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
