Physician Assistant - Pain Specialists
Job Summary
Meritus Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to deliver comprehensive and up-to-date pain management care for our patients. The right person will be joining a busy and collaborative practice with established physicians and mid-levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive and up to date pain management care including providing patients with multimodal pain treatment options
- Understand and follow current guidelines and treatment of pain care
- Team player and able to work with clinical team which includes medical assistant, office secretary, nurses, doctors, and other ancillary staff
- Obtain patient history and perform adequate physical exam
- Perform diagnostic clinical evaluation, and refer for appropriate intervention, procedure, physical therapy, other specialist
- Implement appropriate treatment plan
- Monitor effectiveness treatment plan and provide alternative treatments plans/referrals
- Maintain accurate and current patient records
- Manage challenging situations with patient care including addressing drug use, provide treatment options/ referrals and discharging non-compliant patients
- Review Prescription drug Monitoring
- Review Relevant imaging and Diagnostic test in a timely manner and provide appropriate referrals
