SSM Health Orthopedics - Bridgeton is recruiting for a full-time Physician Assistant to support Hand and Upper Extremity at the SSM Health Orthopedic Center attached to SSM Health DePaul Hospital. The hospital treats patients from across the St. Louis metropolitan area, including Bridgeton, Florissant, Hazelwood, St. Ann, St. John, Maryland Heights, and Overland. Opened in 1828, SSM Health DePaul Hospital is a 540-bed, full-service Catholic hospital and the oldest continuously existing business in St. Louis, offering advanced orthopedic care and a Joint Replacement Center nationally certified as a Center of Excellence. Bridgeton, Missouri offers a convenient home base with easy access to St. Louis amenities.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support in Hand and Upper Extremity orthopedics.
• Work three clinic days per week and two days providing surgical first assist.
• Read and interpret X-rays.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and APPs in a team-based environment.

Requirements

• Master’s degree Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Physician Assistant licensure in Missouri (or ability to obtain).
• Orthopedic Surgery APP practice experience including surgical first assist (new graduates with orthopedic surgery rotation experience and surgical first assist are welcome).

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret X-rays.

Schedule

• Anticipated schedule: three clinic days per week and two days providing surgical first assist.
• Monday‑Friday business hours.
• No call, no evenings, no weekends.
