Physician Assistant - PA - Orthopedic Surgery

About the role

SSM Health Dean Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join its highly skilled Orthopedic Surgery team in Janesville. This is a dynamic role that offers the ability to collaborate with an established and supportive team of fellowship trained orthopedic surgeons, a non-operative sports medicine physician, two other physician assistants, and clinical team.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 35 patient contact hours weekly
• No nights, weekends, holidays, or call

Responsibilities

• Clinical focused position seeing new, follow-up, and post-operative patients
• Some inpatient rounding

Requirements

• Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program
• Certified PA
• Ability to obtain PA licensure in Wisconsin and Wisconsin DEA licensure
• BLS/ACLS certifications
• Prior orthopedic surgery experience strongly preferred; new graduates with orthopedic surgery rotations will be considered

Practice Environment

Janesville East Clinic: approximately 50 physicians across multiple specialties.

SSM Health St. Mary's Janesville Hospital: modern 50-bed facility opened in 2012, with adjacent physician office building for seamless patient care. Full-service hospital including ICU, ER, and Urgent Care. Epic EMR system integrated across the network.
