Physician Assistant (PA)

Responsibilities

• Aid physicians in providing emergency medical care.
• Conduct patient assessments and support treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners.
• Evaluate and ensure compliance with managed healthcare protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be a citizen of the United States.
• Graduated from an accredited PA training program by ARC-PA or a predecessor organization.
• One of the following qualifications must be met:
  • Masters degree in any discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with one year of experience as a PAM.
• Successfully passed the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE).
• Hold an active, current, full, and unrestricted license to practice in a U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth, or in the District of Columbia.
• Maintain current registration in the state of licensure if required for continued active and current licensure.

Requirements

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
• Lift up to 20 lbs.
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
