Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat acute and emergency complaints
• Participate in administrative meetings
• Support cross-coverage needs
• Collaborate with physicians and mental health professionals
• Ensure clinical documentation and treatment align with protocols
• Document all findings using the S.O.A.P. method and EMR systems
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in quality improvement efforts
• Provide cross-coverage and support psychiatric stability assessments

Qualifications & Requirements

• Completion of an accredited education program for PAs
• Experience in correctional/detention facilities (minimum two (2) years)
• Unrestricted current license, certification, or registration in state of practice
• Maintain all certifications, educational requirements, licensing, etc.
• Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
• Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS and PALS (where applicable) certification through AHA
