PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT OR NURSE PRACTITIONER (PA OR NP) - NORTHWEST URGENT CARE

About the role

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Function as a healthcare provider who, working collaboratively with a health team, provides comprehensive care to patients in an outpatient setting.
• Work with the supervising physician to administer care to patients.
• Examine patients and diagnose their conditions.
• Study and interpret patient’s tests and medical records.
• Assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs.
• Consult with doctors, specialists, and other medical professionals.
• Determine necessary interventions and procedures.
• Absorb and manage bone health patients.
• Prescribe varied forms of drugs and other treatment methods to patients.
• Provide consultation to patients and help establish a plan of care for the patient.
• Take after-hours phone calls and occasional admissions or hospital consultations.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the State of Idaho.
• Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Medical Program or Nursing Program.
• Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification upon hire.
• Ability to achieve ACLS certification.
• Able to relate and work effectively with others.
• Prior experience with Joint Commission continual readiness.
• Experience in Spine and/or Pain Management preferred.
