Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Neurology

About the role

A neurology physician assistant or nurse practitioner will join the outpatient neurology team, with potential inpatient duties, primarily working in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments and triage based on presenting conditions.
• Monitor and discuss procedure and lab results with physicians, communicate plans to patients and families.
• Arrange follow-up care and respond to patient and family inquiries.
• Coordinate preauthorizations for medications, diagnostics, and treatments within scope of practice.
• Screen patients and assist in managing their care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARC-approved Physician Assistant program, certified or eligible by NCCPA and the State Board of Medicine.
• Nurse Practitioner candidates must have completed an approved program and be certified or eligible by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, with ability to work across all age groups.
