Role Overview
A physician assistant or nurse practitioner is needed to join a neurology team, primarily working in an outpatient clinic setting with potential inpatient duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform initial assessments and triage of patients.
- Monitor procedure and lab results, communicate findings to physicians and families, and coordinate follow-up care.
- Answer calls from patients and their families, assessing needs and discussing treatment plans.
- Assist with obtaining preauthorizations for medications, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Screen patients and support various clinical activities within their scope of practice.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an ARC-approved Physician Assistant program; certified or eligible by the NCCPA and State Board of Medicine.
- For Nurse Practitioners, completion of an approved program with certification eligibility or current certification by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, capable of working with all age groups.
