Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Inpatient Hematology Oncology

Role Overview: An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is sought to join the inpatient cancer team, performing diagnostic and therapeutic tasks under physician supervision. The role involves assessing patients, managing laboratory results, coordinating follow-up care, participating in rounds, obtaining prior authorizations, and performing procedures like bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures once competent. The APP contributes to BMT meetings and implements institute initiatives as needed. Responsibilities Conduct initial patient assessments and triage based on clinical information.Track and discuss procedure and lab results, communicating with patients and families.Assist with follow-up arrangements and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.Obtain prior authorizations for treatments and diagnostic studies.Perform invasive procedures upon gaining proficiency.Engage in BMT activities and implement policies and initiatives. Qualifications & Skills Master's Degree as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (required).Competency in performing procedures like bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work in a clinical inpatient environment, adhering to policies and procedures.
