Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

About the role

The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide medical services under the supervision of staff physicians, managing patient care plans, pain management, and ensuring patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and modify comprehensive patient care plans, including discharge planning.
• Manage patients' pain levels, administer appropriate medications, and document thoroughly.
• Promote patient and family satisfaction by actively involving them in their care and addressing concerns promptly.
• Optimize clinic efficiency while maintaining high-quality patient care.
• Adhere strictly to confidentiality and privacy regulations, including HIPAA.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with all patients, families, and colleagues.

Requirements

• Completion of an approved Physician Assistant program and experience in evaluating and treating acute and chronic medical conditions.
• AZ PA license or AZ NP license.
• DEA Controlled Substance Registration: AZ.
• American Heart Association - Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Preferred

• 5+ years of experience in urgent care or emergency department.
• Experience in family medicine preferred.

Pay and Recognition

The posted compensation range is $49.78 - $82.14 per hour, which is a reasonable estimate based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
