Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (APTA) - Float

Responsibilities

• Examine patients, perform comprehensive physical examinations, and compile medical data.
• Administer or order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care.
• Manage infections and instruct/counsel patients on compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems, and health maintenance.
• Ensure positive patient experiences by demonstrating values of Transforming Care, including courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy.
• Achieve age-appropriate care by assessing patients and providing appropriate care.
• Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in continuity of care.
• Work collaboratively with supervising MDs and maintain competency according to credentials.

Requirements

• For Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program; California State Physician Assistant License; current CA DEA licensure; BLS certification.
• For Nurse Practitioner: Master’s degree in nursing; California Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nursing license; current CA DEA licensure; BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) capabilities are preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease concepts.
• Experience with patient care activities, clinic environments, and service interactions.
• Ability to take detailed medical histories, conduct physical examinations, observe, order/deliver diagnostic and therapeutic tasks, and integrate findings based on general medical knowledge.

Benefits

Neighborhood offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $124,100.00 to $191,000 per year, depending on experience. The exact salary will be determined based on various factors including the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity within the organization.

Schedule

Tentatively scheduled from September 7th to December 14th, this opportunity involves a Float APP role supporting San Diego County. The role will involve floating between multiple sites based on organizational needs.
