Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) / Clinical Cardiac EP Wallingford

The Hartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking an Electrophysiology Advanced Practitioner to join a rapidly growing team. This role involves evaluating new patients with cardiac rhythm problems, managing arrhythmia patients, conducting pre-admission testing for cardiac electrophysiology (EP) procedures, and performing cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) checks and remote monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new patients with various cardiac rhythm problems
• Assess and manage arrhythmia patients
• Conduct pre-admission testing for cardiac EP procedures
• Perform cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) checks and remote monitoring
• Initiate patient care meetings with the healthcare team to revise the plan of care as needed
• Participate in total quality management initiatives to improve patient and system outcomes

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master’s program
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
• Certified or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through AACN or ANCC
• Cardiology experience preferred, with a preference for electrophysiology
• Experience with cardiac device management highly preferred
