Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Outpatient Podiatry

100% FTE, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

About the role

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work in an outpatient podiatry clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to both well and ill patients
• Work collaboratively within a team consisting of physicians, medical assistants, and RNs
• Perform history and physical, pre and post-operative evaluations
• Develop, manage, and modify treatment plans
• Serve patient populations with conditions such as pathologic bunions, hammer toes, ingrown nails, heel pain, and surgical patients
• Collaborate with Vascular Surgery and the Wound Care Team in caring for wound patients
• Perform procedures including wound debridement, TCC placement, suture removal, cortisone injections, and splint removal
• See patients in follow-up for routine post-op care and manage complications related to surgery

Requirements

• If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program
• If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program

Qualifications

• Minimum – State of Wisconsin PA licensure
• Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
• If Physician Assistant:
  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice
  • Active PA board certification
• If Nurse Practitioner:
  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (Family, Acute, or Primary Care NP)
• All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have:
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
