Physician Assistant - Neurology

About the role

Primarily outpatient practice with inpatient consult support
Collaborate with a team of experienced neurologists and advanced practice providers
Established referral network with immediate patient volume
Hospital-employed position within an independent regional health system

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult patients with a broad range of neurological disorders
• Offer comprehensive evaluations, ongoing disease management, medication adjustments, patient education, and coordination with rehabilitation services and other medical specialties
• Manage a typical outpatient clinic with a mix of new consultations and follow-up visits
• Benefit from dedicated administrative support, collaborative physician supervision, and mentorship
• Enjoy efficient clinic workflow supported by experienced nursing and ancillary staff
• Work in a setting with strong clinical support including board-certified neurologists, experienced advanced practice providers, and dedicated nursing and clinical staff
• Access on-site imaging and diagnostic services, comprehensive rehabilitation services, and multidisciplinary specialist collaboration

Requirements

Commensurate with experience

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO)
• Board certification in Neurology
• Experience in managing a variety of neurological disorders
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Passing scores on relevant licensing exams

Skills

• Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and patient education abilities
• Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
