Physician Assistant - MICU - Night Shift

Role: Physician Assistant in MICU, responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient medical care, coordinating treatment plans, and supporting clinical research efforts. Key Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered care, including evaluation, treatment modification, and patient education.Prescribe medications, medical devices, and therapies in accordance with protocols and legal requirements.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.Support clinical research activities, including patient screening and data collection.Ensure quality improvement and monitor patient outcomes.Serve as a clinical resource and educator for peers and staff.Maintain certification, participate in professional development, and adhere to practice standards.Facilitate patient flow, discharge planning, and continuity of care.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Qualifications & Skills BA-PA degree, NY State Physician Assistant license, NCCPA certification.Basic Life Support certification; additional ACLS, PALS, or NRP preferred.Minimum two years of clinical experience across medical and surgical disciplines.Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
