Physician Assistant, Internal Medicine
About the role
Addison Internal Medicine is a patient-centered internal medicine practice in Dallas, Texas, offering comprehensive primary care since 2014. We provide on-site lab and X-ray services and have a close-knit team including advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff.
Responsibilities
- Complete patient history and physical exams and assessments appropriate to patient population
- Proficient in charting of the history and physical and other notes on patient status in EMR
- Build rapport with patients and maintain regular communication with patients, families, and specialists as appropriate regarding progress and treatment plans
- Show excellent clinical, interpersonal, and organizational skills and be a good team player
- Work independently and participate in after-hours call rotation, one week at a time, part of a 1 in 9 call schedule
Requirements
- Demonstrated excellence in completing patient history and physical exams and assessments
- Proficiency in charting in EMR systems
- Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with patients and medical teams
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working in an outpatient setting preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Valid Texas PA license and in good standing
- Controlled Substance Registration and DEA Certification

Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. No weekends. No holidays.
