Physician Assistant, Internal Medicine

About the role

Addison Internal Medicine is a patient-centered internal medicine practice in Dallas, Texas, offering comprehensive primary care since 2014. We provide on-site lab and X-ray services and have a close-knit team including advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient history and physical exams and assessments appropriate to patient population
• Proficient in charting of the history and physical and other notes on patient status in EMR
• Build rapport with patients and maintain regular communication with patients, families, and specialists as appropriate regarding progress and treatment plans
• Show excellent clinical, interpersonal, and organizational skills and be a good team player
• Work independently and participate in after-hours call rotation, one week at a time, part of a 1 in 9 call schedule

Requirements

• Demonstrated excellence in completing patient history and physical exams and assessments
• Proficiency in charting in EMR systems
• Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with patients and medical teams
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working in an outpatient setting preferred but not required

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Valid Texas PA license and in good standing
• Controlled Substance Registration and DEA Certification

Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. No weekends. No holidays.
