Physician Assistant II - Cardiology

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant II, Acute Care NP, or RNFA to join the Cardiac Surgery OR team. This role involves assisting in complex cardiac procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting and valve surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during open-heart procedures
• Perform tissue handling, chest closure, and harvesting veins and arteries for bypass
• Manage hemodynamic assessments
• Ensure patient safety during transport
• Proficiency in endovascular vein harvest

Requirements

• Minimum two years of cardiac surgery experience
• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice RN
• Certification (NCCPA for PA, RNFA for NP)
• Accredited training and clinical competence in cardiac surgery
• Strong communication skills

Schedule

• Four 10-hour daytime shifts per week
• On-call duties for urgent cases
