Job Overview
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is an independent health care provider who coordinates care through collaboration with the surgeon. The PA provides care in accordance with the objectives, policies, and procedures of the practice and the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Advisory Committee.
Responsibilities
- Surgical first assisting
- Perioperative/postoperative management
- Functions as an active member of the surgery patient care team
- Communicates complicated surgical emergencies and prepares patients for surgery
- Performs wound dressing changes
- Explains procedures to patients
- Interprets laboratory/diagnostic testing
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills, effective communication, and time management
- Coordinates care independently and with the bedside nurse, attending physician, and other consulting providers
- Compassionately interacts with patients across different areas of care
Qualifications
- Current PA Certification
- Current NJ state license
- CDS
- DEA
- Certified BLS/ACLS
- Current Physician Assistant Certification
- CDS
- DEA
- Certified BLS/ACLS
- Potential for Acute Care Certification
- 3-5 years of acute care hospital experience preferred

Pay
$107,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
Schedule
3x12 hour night shifts
On call rotation
