Physician Assistant-Fellowship Hospitalist Program

Job Summary

The Division of General Internal Medicine of the University of Utah's School of Medicine is seeking motivated candidates for an Advance Practice Clinician Hospitalist Fellowship program. The program aims to train fellows comprehensively in inpatient medicine, enhance their knowledge, and develop strong clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Takes complex medical histories and performs physical examinations.
• Orders laboratory tests, x-rays, special imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Administers blood products and develops treatment plans with attending physicians.
• Participates in continuing medical education and assists in research projects.
• Collaborates with other specialty medical teams and participates in special projects and committee functions.

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Utah.
• RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system.
• Supporting evidence of successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Certification in ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS (may be required).
