Physician Assistant, Emergency Department
About the role
RHSC in St. Paul, MN is seeking an exceptional, patient-focused Physician Assistant to join their Emergency Department team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including patient evaluation, diagnosis, ordering and interpretation of diagnostic studies (including advanced imaging), performance of procedures within scope, development of treatment plans, and collaboration with Emergency Medicine physicians and the healthcare team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule
This position is a 0.8 FTE with a typical Emergency Department schedule, blending day, swing, and night shifts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
- Licensure/Registration/Certification: Physician Assistant Certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current Minnesota license and Wisconsin licensure required within one (1) year of hire date
- ACLS/BLS ATLS within one (1) year of hire date
Preferred Qualifications
- EMERGENCY MEDICINE EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
- Licensure/Registration/Certification: PALS recommended
Pay Range
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Pay within our ranges may also be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities as well as internal equity.
